17. KYC/AML verification
The Company may request additional information to verify a User’s identity and that they are at least 18, confirm ownership of a payment method, and clarify individual transactions. Checks may support fraud prevention, prevention of misuse of the Website, and compliance with applicable legal requirements and justified requirements of banks and payment providers.
Verification may be requested when information is inconsistent, there are indications of unauthorised account or payment-method use, transactions appear unusual, or a bank or payment provider requests a check.
The information requested must be proportionate to the verification purpose and identified risk. Depending on the circumstances, the Company may request an identity document, evidence of age or payment-method ownership, or information explaining a transaction. Source-of-funds information may be requested where necessary and supported by a lawful basis.
When requesting verification, the Company explains what information is needed and how to provide it, unless disclosure is restricted by law.
Users must not provide Steam passwords, Steam Guard codes, payment PINs, CVV/CVC codes, or other secret payment-authorisation credentials. Information unrelated to the check may be concealed where this does not prevent verification.
Where verification is necessary to complete a transaction, the Company may temporarily suspend that transaction, including an item withdrawal, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If necessary information is insufficient or the User declines to provide it, the transaction may remain unavailable until the matter is resolved. Refusing verification does not, by itself, result in automatic cancellation of balances, items, or bonuses.
Users may contact support to clarify the requirements and request a review of a restriction. Further action depends on the circumstances, applicable law, and contractual terms.
Verification-related data processing is described in the Privacy Policy: https://xgod.club/en/privacy-policy.
